Practical Theology for Victorious Kingdom Living

Freedom from Condemnation

Everywhere I turn, I’m seeing videos and posts about conquering giants. Honestly, I think that’s what’s on God’s heart right now. And it makes sense—look around. The battles in our world are heating up, and too many of God’s people aren’t equipped for the fight.

We’re still carrying attitudes, habits, and yes—sins—that keep us from looking like Jesus. The world glances at us, shrugs, and decides we’re no threat at all. Too many of us are walking wounded when God designed us to be warriors.

But here’s the Truth: it’s time to get healed up. To build the muscles—mindsets, beliefs, strategies—we need to stand strong against whatever comes our way. It starts with me. With you. With each of us. And it spreads to the Body of Christ. It’s time to leave the hospital bed and step onto the battlefield.

That’s why I love this video by psychologist and writer Henry Cloud. He doesn’t use the word giants, but that’s exactly what he’s describing—those things that keep us stuck, trapped, and unable to move forward. His final three points? They’re the perfect setup for why we need each other to win. Not “big church,” but small groups. Spaces where one believer looks another in the eye and says: “I see you. You are not hopeless. Together, we can conquer this giant.”

If you’re ready to move forward, check out my book Conquering Your Giants: Biblical Strategies to Conquer What’s Been Conquering You. Grab a couple of friends. Start a group. And watch what God does next.
